Job Description: Licensed Physician (New Jersey)
Summary:
Seeking a dedicated and licensed Physician to provide comprehensive medical care in accordance with New Jersey state regulations. The role involves clinical assessment, treatment planning, collaborative care, health education, and case management.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Care:
Provide medical care within the legal scope of a New Jersey licensed Physician
Conduct thorough assessments of patients' biological, psychological, social, and spiritual health through history taking, data collection, and physical examinations
Assist nursing staff with care for walk-in patients
Accurately document all patient interactions and care plans according to site-specific standards
Prescribe, administer, and manage pharmacologic treatment in compliance with policy and regulatory protocols
Collaborative Practice:
Work closely with nurses, allied health professionals, and other team members to implement and revise patient care plans
Participate in the annual review and update of joint practice protocols as required by the NJ Board of Medical Examiners
Identify and address deviations from normal health; refer patients as needed when cases are beyond scope of practice
Order and follow up on laboratory and diagnostic testing
Patient Communication & Education:
Engage patients in shared decision-making to develop individualized care plans
Educate patients and families on managing health conditions, medication usage, and diagnostic testing
Promote patient independence and self-care through personalized education
Deliver group health education relevant to the patient population and clinical specialty
Referral and Case Management:
Coordinate referrals to internal and external specialty services per protocol or consultation
Refer patients to primary care providers as appropriate
Follow up on referrals and ensure continuity of care
Provide case management in alignment with patient needs and program standards
Qualifications:
Unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of New Jersey
Current registration with prescriptive authority
Board Certification in relevant specialty
Active CPR certification
Physical ability to perform clinical duties including standing, brisk walking, lifting, and assisting patients as necessary
