Neurologist - Vermont

A healthcare organization in Rutland is seeking a Board-Eligible or Board-Certifiable or Board-Certified Neurologist to join a collaborative medical team committed to delivering high-quality neurological care. This opportunity offers a balanced practice with both outpatient and inpatient responsibilities in a supportive healthcare environment.

Position Overview

The Neurologist will diagnose and treat a broad range of neurological conditions and work closely with primary care physicians, specialists, and clinical staff to provide comprehensive patient care. The role includes evaluating patients, developing treatment plans, and managing neurological disorders using both clinical assessment and diagnostic tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and manage neurological disorders such as stroke, epilepsy, migraines, neuropathy, movement disorders, and neurodegenerative diseases
  • Perform neurological examinations and evaluate patients' medical histories
  • Interpret diagnostic studies, including EEG, EMG, MRI, and CT scans
  • Provide inpatient consultations and outpatient neurological care
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and monitor patient progress
  • Educate patients and families about neurological conditions and treatment options
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and collaborative care efforts

Requirements

General Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology
  • Completion of an accredited neurology residency program
  • Eligible for or able to obtain a Vermont medical license
  • Strong clinical and diagnostic skills
  • Excellent communication and patient care abilities
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment

  • Experience in general neurology practice
  • Interest in stroke care, epilepsy, or neuromuscular disorders
  • Commitment to patient-centered care and clinical excellence
