A healthcare organization located in Rutland is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join a collaborative urology care team. This opportunity offers the chance to work closely with physicians and clinical staff to provide high-quality care for patients with a variety of urologic conditions.
Position Overview
The Urology APP will assist in the evaluation, diagnosis, and management of patients with urologic conditions in both outpatient and clinical settings. The provider will work under the supervision or collaboration of a urologist while helping deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct patient evaluations, including medical histories and physical examinations
- Assist in diagnosing and managing urologic conditions such as kidney stones, urinary tract disorders, prostate conditions, and male reproductive health issues
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including laboratory work and imaging studies
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the supervising physician
- Provide patient education regarding treatment plans, medications, and preventive care
- Assist with minor procedures and follow-up care when appropriate
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care

Requirements
General Requirements
- Master’s degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
- Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- Eligible for or able to obtain licensure in the state of Vermont
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and patient care abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior clinical experience in urology, surgery, or related specialty
- Experience with outpatient clinical care and procedural support
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and clinical documentation systems
