A healthcare organization in New Hartford is seeking two Board-Eligible, Board-Certifiable, or Board-Certified Rheumatologists to join a collaborative medical team that provides specialized care for patients with autoimmune and musculoskeletal conditions. Position Overview
The Rheumatologist will diagnose and manage a wide range of rheumatic and autoimmune disorders. The role will primarily involve outpatient care, with the opportunity to work closely with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to provide comprehensive treatment and long-term disease management.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat autoimmune and inflammatory conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, gout, and other connective tissue disorders
- Conduct patient evaluations, including medical histories and physical examinations
- Interpret laboratory tests and imaging studies related to rheumatologic conditions
- Develop individualized treatment plans, including medication management and biologic therapies
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Educate patients on disease management, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications
- Collaborate with primary care physicians and specialists to coordinate patient care
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical collaboration

Requirements
General Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Rheumatology
- Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine residency program
- Completion of an accredited Rheumatology fellowship program
- Eligible for or able to obtain a New York medical license
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and patient care abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment
